By creating this blog, we are taking a huge step forward in communication. By using this blog to post updates happening in our neighborhood, especially with regards to crime, we hope to alert residents and the off duty deputies faster than ever before.
If you are unfamiliar with blogs and how they operate, please take a few seconds to click around and see what this new form of communication can do. In the simplest terms, this is a place where we (SONA) can post activities emailed in by you. But this is not just one-way communication. You can comment on any posting. That means you can ask questions, give feedback, etc.
Another great aspect of blogs is that you can subscribe to them. That means I no longer need to email you every time there is something new to report. If you subscribe, by clicking one of the tabs on the right under SUBSCRIBE TO, you will receive instant email updates when new information is added to the site.

Thanks for setting up the blog! You might want to let SONA folks know that they can avoid the emails by using a Blog reader such as Google Reader and subscribe to the blog through the reader.
